Maple Glazed Ham with Brown Sugar Crust

Ingredients

  • 1 (8–10 lb) bone-in spiral ham

  • 1 cup pure maple syrup

  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed

  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard

  • ½ tsp ground cloves

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Place ham in a roasting pan, cut side down.

  2. In a saucepan, combine maple syrup, brown sugar, mustard, and cloves. Heat until sugar dissolves.

  3. Brush half the glaze over the ham and cover loosely with foil.

  4. Bake for 1½ hours, brushing every 20 minutes with glaze.

  5. Uncover and bake 15 more minutes for a caramelized finish. Rest 10 minutes before slicing.
