Strawberry Shortcake

Ingredients

  • 2 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tbsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 cup cold butter

  • 2/3 cup milk

  • 2 cups sliced strawberries

  • 2 tbsp sugar (for berries)

  • Whipped cream for topping

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 425°F. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  • Cut in butter until crumbly. Stir in milk until dough forms.

  • Drop by spoonfuls on baking sheet; bake 12–15 minutes.

  • Toss strawberries with sugar.

  • Slice shortcakes and layer with strawberries and whipped cream.
